Hello

I’m trying to get the Top of Descent tool to work for me.

What I’m trying to do on an Instrument Flight Plan is to get the Bottom of Descent to be calculated at the Minimum Sector Altitude so that a cloudbreak procedure can then be performed.

So in a real world situation.
On a flight from Kruger to Ulundi. Cruising Level is FL100. The MSA sector for Ulundi is therefore 7600ft. So I want the Top of Descent to be calculated from FL100 and end overhead Ulundi at 7600ft and not ground level so that the cloudbreak can then be performed.

I can edit the altitude for Ulundi to 7600ft (MSA) but as soon as I click the “Insert / Remove climb, descent waypoints” it dumps the altitude I inserted and builds the profile. I have tried the “Recalculate Yes No” popup box with both choices. With Yes it dumps the altitude and with No it simply doesn’t calculate it.

I am using product version 3.059.04.

What am I doing wrong? Please help.
